Despite the scale of our property development, the Jones Investments team maintains close contact on a personal level throughout all our operations. Chris Jones
From a strong construction family background, Chris co-founded Ellier Developments in 1993. A UCD graduate, his past business experience extends to the retail sector, having worked for the leading global brand Waterford Crystal in both Ireland and the US.
Chris established Jones Investments Ltd. in 2012 primarily to focus on the commercial and residential sector. Most recently, he has been involved in landmark developments in Ireland’s Silicon Docks, Dublin’s Grand Canal area. He co-developed the EMEA Headquarters of Facebook at Hanover Quay, Dublin , the Dock Mill building on Barrow Street which has subsequently been sold to Google, and the reimagining of The One Building for international payments company Stripe. Jones Investments’ latest exciting new project is “The Bottleworks” on Barrow Street, an enterprise and innovation building due for completion in 2020.
His other business interests include his directorship of C.A.S. Ltd., and of Leopardstown Racecourse in Dublin.

Chris Jones
Mark Sloan
Finance Director
Mark is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and a member of the Irish Tax Institute. Since the early 1990s he has worked in construction and property investment-related businesses. Business roles before working with Chris Jones included Ernst and Young in Toronto and Head of Property Finance in a large life assurance PLC. He has a wealth of experience in property acquisitions, disposals, development and management of property, both in Ireland and overseas.
Brian Foley
Commercial Director
Brian is a Chartered Surveyor with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI), a Registered Building Surveyor under the Building Control Act 2007 and a full corporate professional member of The Chartered Institute of Building (MCIOB) in the UK and Ireland since 2003. He graduated with a Bachelor Of Science Honours Degree in Building Surveying from the University Of Salford, Greater Manchester, UK. Brian also holds a Technical qualification from DIT Bolton Street, and a Diploma qualification from DIT Dundalk.
Brian joined the group in 1999 and has recently been appointed as Commercial Director. With the Jones Investment team, Brian has gained extensive experience on a wide range of projects. He has a proven track record of managing many demanding and challenging projects on budget, within tight timescales and to the highest quality in accordance with best practice within the construction industry.
He has also acted as Project Manager for Jones Investment. He is responsible for the critical areas of cost planning, procurement and pre and post contract cost management. Successful projects managed by Brian include a range of residential, retail and commercial building and refurbishment projects in Dublin, London, and Brussels.
Roly Chamberlayne
Associate Director, Projects
Roly Chamberlayne joined the group in 1994, after completing a Diploma in Construction Management in RTC Galway.
He has recently been appointed as Associate Director of Projects. He has been responsible for planning, developing and completing unique high profile multi-million euro developments. Roly has also worked in the UK as a freelance Project Manager on numerous residential and commercial schemes, throughout the South Coast and has with a proven track record in problem solving and planning ability.
With over 20 years experience, Roly’s expertise covers thorough planning, forecasting and coordination of all aspects of the construction process from Commercial, Educational, Healthcare and Residential projects. He works closely with Design Teams and Contractors to ensure each project realises its full potential by consistently implementing the highest professional standards.
Barbara Hurley
Personal Assistant
Barbara joined the group in 2012 and brings many years’ experience as Personal Assistant to senior executives in a variety of leading national and international businesses, including the Irish Trade Board, IAWS plc and One51 plc. As the first point of contact, Barbara is happy to assist with any enquirers and always gives callers a friendly welcome.
Karen Harty
Accounts Assistant
Karen joined the team as Accounts Assistant in July ‘16. Karen has a Certificate in Business & Computers and also a Diploma in Professional Management. She brings many years’ experience, having previously worked for a variety of companies, including Peninsula Petroleum & Berendsen.
